I was able to get away for a bit tonight. Started with setting a 1 inch square pattern on the engine side of the firewall. I found the centre and placed the pattern based on that.
I then grabbed my cordless drill, added a 2inch scotch bright pad and went to it. Starting at the bottom left corner and making my way to the right to the end, and then back to the left on the next line. It's taking a while to do, but it's not that bad and I'm happy with the results.
Took a break and deburred the firewall brackets.
The turning of the firewall certainly isn't necessary, but I like the look of it,and that's all that matters!
